Katrina Schweiker is a military fellow with the Defense and Security Department at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Prior to her fellowship at CSIS, Col Schweiker led the Engineering, Mathematics, and Information Sciences Branch at the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. As a physicist, she has served in a variety of military assignments, from research & development, the defense intra-agency, and the nuclear enterprise, spanning unit-level to combatant command-level responsibilities. Col Schweiker is primarily interested in the intersection of military strategy with science & technology policy. She holds a PhD in Biophysics from the Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree from Air University, and a BS in Physics from the University of Minnesota.
