Kurt MacAloney

Colonel Kurt MacAloney is a military fellow in the Defense and Security Department at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Prior to his fellowship at CSIS, Col MacAloney has served in diverse military assignments, spanning squadron-level operations to combatant command responsibilities. An experienced experimental test Weapon Systems Officer and remote pilot, Col MacAloney has logged over 1,100 flight hours across more than 35 aircraft types, conducting developmental testing on a broad spectrum of aircraft, weapons, and systems. He holds MS degrees from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Air University, and Troy University, as well as a BS from Norwich University.
